Improving Communication and Adherence in Black Breast Cancer Survivors

Sisters Informing Sisters (SIS) is a research study developed to advocate and help reduce breast cancer disparities. The goal of SIS is to support and empower African-American women who are diagnosed with breast cancer so they are empowered with information to advocate for their care during their doctor appointments.

Women who are eligible

  • Black/African American

  • At least 18 years old

  • Recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer

  • Stages: 0, I, II, or III

  • Eligible for Systemic therapy (Chemo or Adjuvant)

  • Able to speak and read English

  • No prior cancer treatment, other than skin cancer,

    within the past 2 years
